Heartland Alliance LTD/GTE, Abuja, Nigeria

From September 2023 to September 2024, we served as a Research Consultant for Heartland Alliance LTD/GTE in Abuja, Nigeria. In this role, we provided technical leadership on operational research implementation, overseeing the conceptualization, design, planning, and execution of research activities across key project areas. We reviewed standards for quality healthcare services for both key and general populations, assessing them against the required standard operating procedures, including SOP reviews.

We prepared and presented research protocols and inception reports based on documented observations from these standards. Our team adapted data collection tools, pre-testing and adjusting them as necessary. We secured ethical, research, and institutional clearances by preparing submissions to the Heartland Alliance management team and other relevant institutions.

Training Research Assistants and Data Collectors in data collection techniques, we focused on non-intrusive observation of clinical processes. We managed the implementation of surveys, ensuring the quality of data collection across selected sites. Our responsibilities included designing data entry platforms, managing data entry and cleaning processes, conducting data analysis to meet research objectives, and presenting draft reports to the Heartland Alliance Research Committee and Management Team.

African Health Projects, Abuja, Nigeria

As an External Consultant specializing in Health Information Management and Research, we conducted thorough monitoring and analysis of information and data systems at African Health Projects. We identified areas for improvement and implemented strategies to enhance their performance. By staying updated on emerging technologies, we recommended relevant upgrades to optimize data management processes, contributing to the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness.
